old world residential interior design scottsdaleAt Est Est, we believe in working closely with each client so that their personal tastes, values, and lifestyle needs factor into every design decision. And that belief was absolutely represented on this particular project. Here, the client wanted a comfortable feel combining rustic sophistication with the natural world. That we could do.

We were brought onto this project when the home construction was established but the interior was not yet finished. In this way, we were able to, not only bring unique material selections and creative fashion to the table, but also integrate interior architectural detailing to everything we did. This involved communication with the builders, the clients, and the entire design team, determining the correct placement of each design element beforehand. It also involved drawing up detailed plans for the builder and sub-contractors, plans that were approved at every juncture by the clients themselves.

For the color palette, we adhered to the request of the client for natural tones that exuded the textures and themes common to the outdoors. Then we further expressed those themes with a mixture of textures, accents, and furniture choices that brought about a comfortable, Old World feel. From carpet to tile to hardwood, the floor in every room was unique to its purpose and design strength, adding to the richness of the surrounding textures. Also, we made sure that the aesthetics were both welcoming and natural feeling to suit our client’s personal style.

When we were done, the house was physically comfortable, visually appealing, and rustically sophisticated. Decorative and accent lighting pulled the home together, providing bright contrasts and cozy spaces, and unique accent pieces gave each room a character of its own. The client was happy and our job was done.

Commercial Corporate Office Designs

tuscan office commercial interior designFor this East Valley commercial office space, we used high contrast materials that would make a bold statement and be remembered with awe by visitors. Why did we aim for this? Well, we were hired primarily to provide our client with an “environmental prototype” to show to potential buyers, requiring that each space be as memorable as possible. In this way, we designed a model office space that fit their every need.

The office building itself was originally designed to imitate a residential environment, so we used a combination of corporate structure and relaxing residential comfort. The color selections were bright enough to give the space charm but functional for a more corporate feel. Even the finishing materials were chosen to represent the corporate identity of the client while still giving off a pleasing feel and adding to the aesthetic comfort of the space.

When we finished, this corporate office was welcoming yet functional, with a dynamic feel that permeated each corridor and individual workspace. And looking back, I truly believe that the space speaks for itself.

Commercial Interior Model Home Designs

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona

Style: Old World/Spanish Colonial

More information: Commercial Spanish Colonial Model Home

spanish colonial corporate interior designOne of our favorite interior design formats is the model home. Each one is matchless, requiring unique touches to go along with the internal architecture as well as the surrounding neighborhood. The Cachet model home was no different. Located in the desert, we were able to pull from the Spanish Colonial style of the architecture by using custom design pieces, rich colors, and bold textures. The result was simply exquisite.

From the entryway forward, our design team created a majestic space reminiscent of Old World Spanish charm. First of all, I should say that the architecture was the main reason for many of our design ideas and goals. The entry had a beautiful stone floor that joined perfectly with rustic wooden columns. So, we took that original architecture and simply added to it by providing a custom designed and hand-carved piece of furniture, gilded in silver. Add to that some eye-catching artwork and a hand-painted ceiling designed by an Italian-trained artisan and you have the ideal entry for a plush Spanish living space.

But we didn’t stop with the entryway. The rest of the home itself was created with an open floor layout, so each room flowed into the next in a welcoming manner. Using that welcoming feel, our design team gave the entire space a new warmth with rich tones celebrating the surrounding architecture. From russet and gold to metallic and espresso, we gave each room expression by adding textures that would enhance the dark woods of the dining room set and bring the cascading window treatments to life. With some accenting ironwork, intricately carved cabinets, and wall art to add to the elegance of the space, it was an interior designer’s dream come true.

As we worked through the house, each space was given a unique feel as well as an overarching theme which flowed into the surrounding rooms. From the inlaid metal tiles on the custom fireplace in the living room to the specialty shelving flanking the hand-painted hood in the kitchen, we added a distinctive flair to each corner of the living space. The furniture contributed to this uniqueness and gave the home a sense of relaxed comfort as well as refined elegance. Each texture was hand picked, each piece of art was specially chosen, and the entire model home became a testament to the rich opulence of Spanish Colonial design.
